Podcast Recording

Deliver your message to listeners with crystal-clear audio and a professional environment. We provide a stress-free recording experience in our sound-isolated studio located in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka.

Two Japanese professionals recording a podcast in a modern studio

In today's content landscape, audio quality is directly linked to the perceived credibility of your program. Environmental noise and room reverb, which are unavoidable in home recording setups, create listening fatigue for the audience and often lead to higher drop-off rates. At Grushdelta, we provide a recording environment specifically optimized for podcasts within our 120m² facility.

We go beyond simply renting out equipment; our engineers manage real-time level monitoring to prevent clipping or insufficient volume. This allows hosts to focus entirely on the conversation and the flow of the dialogue without worrying about technical settings. Even those without prior technical experience can begin recording immediately upon arrival at the studio.

Who is this Podcast Service for?

Our podcast recording services are designed for clients with diverse audio needs. First, we support corporate podcasting for businesses that require a polished, professional tone to maintain their brand image. We also cater to independent creators who run interview-style shows and wish to host guests for face-to-face recordings in a controlled setting.

Furthermore, we recommend our studio to those expanding into audio platforms who have reached the limits of their home setups, or those who wish to reduce post-production time by capturing clean source material from the start. Leveraging our studio layout, which can accommodate up to 6 people simultaneously, we flexibly support group talks and panel discussions.

The 4-Step Recording Process

  1. Pre-session Briefing: Before recording, we confirm the number of participants, the format of the talk (solo, interview, or discussion), and the required delivery formats.
  2. Setup and Level Check: Our engineer positions the optimal microphones for each participant and balances the input levels to ensure consistency.
  3. Main Recording: During the session, an engineer monitors the audio from the control room to prevent noise interference or signal distortion.
  4. Export and Delivery: After the session, files are exported in the specified format (WAV/MP3) and delivered via a secure transfer method.

Workflow and Engineering Support

On the day of recording, we begin with a brief meeting in the control room to verify microphone positioning and speaking distance. In podcasting, fluctuations in the distance between the speaker and the mic often cause volume instability; our engineers apply precise gain adjustments to maintain a comfortable, steady volume for the listener.

We also provide guidance to minimize unwanted noises, such as clothing rustle or desk contact. Should any technical issue arise during the session, our backup systems ensure a smooth recovery. After the recording, we can perform basic normalization to bring the audio closer to a broadcast-ready state.

What the Client Should Prepare

To ensure an efficient workflow, we ask clients to prepare the following. First, please provide a content outline, script, or agenda. This allows you to use the scheduled studio time effectively and reduces the need for retakes. If you are inviting guests, please inform them of the studio access (a 5-minute walk from Tenjin Station on the Kuko Line).

Regarding attire, we suggest avoiding clothing made of materials that rustle loudly (such as certain nylons) to ensure the cleanest possible audio. Additionally, if you have specific background music or jingles you wish to use, please send the files in advance or bring them on a USB drive. These preparations maximize the actual recording time available.

Deliverables and Final Results

Upon completion, we provide the following data. We typically deliver both the raw multitracks (individual files for each speaker) and a stereo mix-down file. File formats are available in industry-standard WAV (44.1kHz/24bit or higher) and MP3 for easy distribution.

Providing multitracks allows you flexibility if you hire an external editor later, as individual voices can be adjusted independently. In accordance with our archive rules, all session data is securely stored for 12 months. If data loss occurs on your end, we can resend the files within this period.

Deadlines and Scheduling

We generally offer quick delivery on the day of the session. After the time required for exporting, files are delivered on-site or via a transfer service. If you request complex editing (such as removing "ums" and "ahs" or inserting music), this is quoted separately and typically takes 3 to 7 business days.

Regarding bookings, cancellations made at least 3 days in advance are free of charge. Cancellations or changes made after this window are subject to fees as outlined in our terms. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.

What is NOT Included

This plan is specialized for "recording." The following services are not included in the standard rate: detailed script writing or content planning; advanced audio restoration (deep cleaning via specialized noise removal software); and uploading to distribution platforms or marketing support.

If these services are required, we can provide them as optional add-ons or refer you to specialized editing partners. Additionally, on-site recording outside the studio is not covered by this plan; all work is performed within our Fukuoka studio.
