Instrument & Band Recording
Capture the natural dynamics of your ensemble in our Fukuoka studio. With a 120m² professional space and dedicated engineering support, we provide the environment needed to record authentic instrument tones and band chemistry.
The instrument recording services at Grushdelta are designed to merge the performer's intent with the physical acoustics of the room. Located in the Chuo-ku district of Fukuoka, our facility is engineered to block external urban noise, providing a controlled environment where everything from delicate acoustic strings to powerful drum kits can be captured with precision.
Our studio layout consists of three distinct rooms, allowing for a seamless workflow between the control room and the live area. We can accommodate up to 6 musicians simultaneously, making the studio suitable for live ensemble recordings where the interaction between members creates a specific groove that is difficult to replicate in overdubbing. Our technical setup includes large diaphragm condensers and nearfield monitors to ensure an accurate monitoring environment during the session.
The 4-Step Recording Process
Consultation and Planning
Before the session, we review the song structure, the list of instruments, and the desired sonic direction. We simulate microphone placement based on your ensemble size to plan an efficient use of studio time.
Setup and Sound Check
We arrange the instruments and position the microphones. Our engineers check the volume balance and phase correlation, utilizing the live room's characteristics to shape the tone before the actual recording begins.
The Recording Session
The actual tracking takes place. We provide immediate feedback after each take to ensure the performance meets your expectations. For simultaneous recording, we focus on maintaining separation while preserving the overall energy.
Data Review and Export
We review the recorded takes and select the preferred versions. The session is then exported as multitrack data and a reference mix in the requested format, preparing the files for the next stage of production.
Who This Service Is For
This service is suited for individual musicians looking to document their work in high fidelity, bands working on album productions, and creators producing background music for commercial or cinematic projects. It is particularly effective for those needing to record low-frequency instruments like drums and bass, which are challenging to capture in home studios, or for artists who want to record multiple instruments simultaneously to capture the "air" and atmosphere of a live performance.
Studio Workflow
Once the session begins, we prioritize tuning and microphone positioning. Engineers Kenji Hashimoto or Daiki Yamamoto select microphones based on the specific characteristics of each instrument, switching between condenser and dynamic types as needed. During the recording, the engineer provides guidance from the control room to maintain a focused environment. By utilizing the 120m² space, we maintain appropriate distances between instruments to reduce unwanted bleed while pursuing a natural sound.
Client Preparation
To ensure a smooth session, we ask clients to prepare a few items. Please provide demo recordings or a composition map (indicating chord progressions and section markers). We also recommend that instruments are maintained—such as replacing strings or tuning drums—prior to arrival so that studio time is dedicated to performing. We encourage musicians to bring their own monitoring headphones for personal preference.
Deliverables and Output
Following the session, we provide the following data. Files are delivered in WAV format (24-bit/48kHz or 44.1kHz). You will receive individual tracks for each instrument (multitracks) and a reference mix where basic levels are balanced. This allows for full flexibility during the subsequent mixing phase. Data is transferred via secure cloud storage or physical media upon request.
Timelines and Scheduling
Provisional data is reviewed on the day of the session, and final confirmed files are typically delivered within 3 business days. For those utilizing the Full Day (8h) plan, there is more time for multiple takes and fine-tuning, allowing for a more detailed recording. All sessions are by appointment; please coordinate your schedule via our contact form.
What is Not Included
This plan is focused specifically on "Recording." Therefore, detailed mixing (precise EQ, compression, and automation) and mastering (final loudness and tonal consistency) are not included. If you require these services, we recommend our Mixing & Mastering service. Additionally, we do not provide off-site location recording or instrument rentals.
Pricing and VAT Calculation

For B2B transactions, the payment term is 14 days from the date of the invoice. A deposit of 30% of the total amount is required to confirm the booking, which is then applied toward the final bill.
